The Communications and Content Development Associate works to ensure effective, engaging communications with students, alumni, and the wider STM community using a variety of methods including social media, website and print.
Exceptional writing skills are essential.
Candidates must be capable of creating original communications (writing, photography, etc.
) as well as coordinating the work of others.
Because many of our events events take place outside of standard business hours, this position may require a mix of nights and weekends, depending on the program schedule.
This is a hands on position that will require the ability to work independently as well as with others.
Flexibility, reliability, accuracy and independent judgement are essential requirements for this position.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
Assist with the development of public relations and communications strategies for Saint Thomas More Chapel & Center at Yale University Communicate with students, alumni, staff and community members.
Work effectively with internal teams to coordinate projects.
Utilize social media and digital communications tools.
Maintain and update database of customer information.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will be:
Able to work independently or in a team environment.
Able to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects at once.
Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Able to follow standard forms, procedures, and policies when communicating with clients or vendors.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English (including computer skills).
Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
