Reporting to the Director of the Office of Career Strategy, the Director of Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Career Services will serve as a critical member of the Office of Career Strategy leadership team. The Director of Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Career Services will be responsible for creating and implementing a vision for an integrated process of engagement with students in the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and Yale University postdoctoral scholars. This vision should include a combination of career advising, experiential learning opportunities, employer connections, interview preparation, Yale community and faculty involvement, and alumni networks. The Director of Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Career Services will supervise the Associate Director specializing in graduate student career services, with the potential for additional supervisory opportunities in the future.
This position requires bachelor's degree in a related field and at least five years of experience in a graduate or professional school career services office or similar student advising capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
