In addition to catalyzing medical device innovation and development that aim to improve clinical efficiency and efficacy, and lower healthcare costs, CBIT also provides new research and educational opportunities for Yale faculty, students and staff; technical expertise and clinical access for industry partners; and a portfolio of projects for investment organizations.
Position Focus:
Reporting to the CBIT Executive Director, the Director of Business Strategy will evaluate the commercial availability of biomedical innovations from Yale clinicians, faculty, and students, and advise teams of clinicians, engineers, scientist and business people to develop their commercialization strategies.

Job
Responsibilities:
1. Establish a deep understanding of biomedical research and commercialization activities across Yale's professional schools and departments
2. Define opportunities for collaboration such as innovation showcases, student consulting projects to address unmet industry needs, and immersion programs to involve partners in biomedical innovation at Yale.
3. Identify gaps in teams' business models and go-to-market strategies that must be addressed in order to make the ideas viable for commercialization.
4. Promote biomedical innovation across Yale by orchestrating events such as hackathons, clinician pitch nights, and entrepreneurial speaker series.
5. Manage venture creation consultants to complete short projects that help teams address specific business needs, such as financial modeling or market analysis.
6. Connect teams with resources through other entrepreneurially minded organizations at Yale and external sources.
7. Establish partnerships with regional medical device companies, healthcare venture capital firms, and other external groups involved in biomedical innovation.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
MBA/advanced technical degree (MD, or PhD in biomedical field), plus 1
years business/innovation-focused work experience (startup/consulting). Entrepreneurial mindset and experience with business development and commercialization; experience with lean startup methodologies a plus. Passionate about improving healthcare and committed to educating students and faculty about entrepreneurial journey.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
